Measure the length of your coffee table height. You will want the height of your final shopping basket to be about 30 to 36 inches from the floor. Most coffee tables are lower, small tables or lamp tables are usually the height you need. Save time and find one of the needed and right heights. Also, coffee tables work best because they usually have the raised lip on the table edges. The claw feet work best on the legs as there is enough space on the underside of the legs to install wheels.

Make leg extensions as needed. Take table legs from second hand table. Cut the necessary height leg extenders from 2 x 2 wood pieces. Sand smooth and screw to the underside of used tables where the legs were removed. Apply the carpenter’s glue before screwing. Use screws into pre-drilled new holes, not original bone screw holes. Allow the glue to dry completely. Extend to original legs. Drill holes in the middle of the leg extenders and removed legs to reconnect the removed legs to the extenders.
